What is the WID Virtual Leadership Symposium?
The Leadership Symposium is a virtual conference for industry, government, academia, students, and young professionals working and interested in National Security to meet, network and collaborate to create a more diverse workforce and strengthen American and allied national security—all from the comfort of attendees’ own homes or offices.

How do I register for the Leadership Symposium?
Regular registration for this event has ended. However, all sessions (except the workshops) are now available in an On Demand format to registered attendees. Attendees may log back into the symposium platform using his or her original personal access link.

For individuals who missed the Symposium, On Demand Registration is now open. You can register via the Registration webpage.

What is On Demand?
On Demand will give you access to view the Symposium’s recorded presentations (except the workshops), handouts and Expo Hall to view at your own convenience. Accessing these presentations allows you to gain valuable insights from the global WID community.

When will I receive the instructions for attending the Leadership Symposium?
After you have registered, you will receive an e-mail inviting you to you to create you profile in the virtual platform. Upon login, you can also start to navigate through the platform. Please note, it may take up to 48 hours to process your registration and receive login instructions. Attendees will have until October 9 to access recorded sessions.

How do I visit the Industry Career Expo?
From the virtual lobby, please select the “Exhibit Hall” tab to view Industry virtual booths.

Can my computer or mobile device handle the Leadership Symposium?
Most up to date computers and mobile devices such as laptops, desktops, and handheld tablets can access CONVENE, the Leadership Symposium platform. We do NOT recommend mobile phones if you plan to participate in workshop breakout sessions.  We recommend you use Google Chrome, and government employees use a personal device or disconnect from their VPN.

Does NDIA give out Attendee Lists?
Attendees from the live event received an attendee list via e-mail. NDIA does not sell conference attendee lists with contact information. Please beware of solicitations claiming to have NDIA registration lists – these are scams!

What do I need to do to view the Leadership Symposium?
You will need to login first to the virtual platform lobby. After logging in, scroll down to view the agenda tiles broken out by day and time. To enter the session, simply click on the session tile.

What will I have access to?
You will be able to view the opening keynote, the Lightning Talks and the Closing Keynote.  Please note that the workshops will not be included in the On Demand format.

Will I be able to see the presenters for each session?
Yes, you will be able to see both the speaker and his or her slides.

Can I share my virtual conference login information with other members of my team?
No
, your login information is unique to your individual registration. For every paid registration to attend virtually, only that registered attendee will be allowed to enter the virtual conference. The questions asked and the chat shown to all attendees within that single login session are all tied to the account of the individual who purchased the virtual event.

Can I access and view recordings of any sessions from the conference?
Your virtual conference registration includes access to all releasable educational session recordings (except the workshops) after the event concludes.

How do I download handouts?
From the virtual lobby, please select the “Handouts” tab to view all available handouts and download them as a pdf.
