Sarah Maples is a globetrotting coach and consultant. In this role, she lives her best life helping individuals and organizations in the defense and veterans community define their goals, build roadmaps to achieve them, and navigate through the difficult transition periods along the way.
Before starting her business in 2019, Sarah served seven years as an Air Force Intelligence Officer, including deployments to Afghanistan and Saudi Arabia. Post-military, she worked in the veteran community, concentrating on the challenges of military transition and veterans’ education and healthcare. In 2016, Sarah became the first woman to serve as National Security and Foreign Affairs Director for the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Washington, D.C. In this role, she advocated for policies to support 1.7 million service members, veterans, and their families.
Her writing has appeared in national media outlets, including The Atlantic, ClearanceJobs, and Task & Purpose, as well as in the anthology Our Best War Stories: Prize-winning Poetry and Prose from the COL Darren L. Wright Memorial Awards and on her veterans resource site After the DD-214. She holds graduate degrees from George Washington University, Fairleigh Dickinson University, and American Military University, as well as a BA from Tulane University.
