Academia Membership

NDIA Academia Membership

Is your Institution interested in exploring DoD research and technology development opportunities and engaging directly with DoD and/or defense companies to pursue collaboration? If so, we invite you to consider corporate membership in the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA).

Based in Arlington, Virginia, NDIA—the trusted leader in defense and national security associations—is a non-profit, educational association representing industry, government, and academia. NDIA:

  • Promotes collaboration to deliver cutting-edge technology, weapons, equipment, training, and support to warfighters and first responders
  • Convenes ethical forums connecting experts from government, academia, and the defense industry to define threats and design solutions to ensure U.S. and partner national security.
  • Engages thoughtful and innovative leaders to exchange ideas, information, and capabilities that lead to the development of the best policies, practices, products, and technologies to ensure the safety and security of our nation.

NDIA’s membership embodies the full spectrum of corporate, government, academic, and individual stakeholders who form a vigorous, responsive, and collaborative community in support of defense and national security.

NDIA offers academic institutions a special introductory dues rate for the first three years of membership:
$500 per year or $1,200 for three years.  After three years, academic institutions’ dues are based on defense revenues—the formula we use for corporate members.
